Children's Enrichment Programs
Our children are encouraged to participate in our Kids Care Club, attending weekly groups, participating in our on-site tutoring services and engage in our children's enrichment activities.

o    Youth Support Group (lead by our Therapist): The overall purpose of the group is to get to know the youth better and ascertain their individual needs. As a group they work on various specific skills that fall under the larger topics of communication, problem solving, expressing your feelings, caring about yourself & others, being part of a group, listening, standing up for yourself and managing conflict. This is a vital component for our youth, as dealing with homelessness can be devastating.

o    School on Wheels Tutoring: On-site tutoring in collaboration with School on Wheels; many tutors are students at the Claremont Colleges. Children develop better study skills, and improve their academic status.

o    Children’s Activities: Year round for the children at the Shelter to help them develop social skills, including Quakes Baseball Night, Make and Take A Pumpkin, Thanksgiving Feast, Breakfast with Santa, Back to School Party, and a Spring Party.
